Sel aastal valisime teemaks "Varjatud" ehk siis otsisime nähtusi linnaruumis, mida me iga päev ei märka, või millega kaasneb teatud salapära, näiteks tänavakunst. Ka aprillikuu sündmused oli sellest teemast kantud: toimus tänavakunsti loeng-töötuba, Karlova jäänukite tuur, väljasõit Valgasse, fotokonkurss ning maastikuarhitektuuri kuu võttis kokku EMÜSi 23. sünnipäevapidu!

5. ja 6. aprillil toimunud loeng-töötoa "Illegaalne ja legaalne tänavakunst" viis läbi kunstnik ja tänavakunsti festivali Stencibility eestvedaja Sirla. Töötoa tulemusena ilmus EMÜSi keldiruumi seinale stencil-tehnikas maaling, mis on inspireeritud Peeter Alliku teosest "Kubism".

13. aprillil toimus väljasõit Valgasse, et uurida põnevaid maastikuarhitektuurseid arenguid väikeses piirilinnas. Ekskursioon viis meid Valga uuelt peaväljakult mööda huvitavamatest arhitektuursetest objektidest. Teejuhtideks olid Valga vallaarhitekt Jiri Tintera ja haljastusspetsialist Pille Zimmer.

19. aprillil käisime Tartu Ülikooli ajaloohuvilise geograafi Taavi Pae juhtimisel Karlovas uurimas linnalisi jäänukeid: otsisime elemente, mis on kaotanud oma funktsiooni või siis leidnud hoopis muul moel kasutust. Peatusime tuntud kultusobjektide juures ning vaatlesime linnaosale iseloomulikke arhitektuurilisi elemente. Tuur andis võimaluse näha kodulinna natuketeise nurga alt, kui igapäevaseid käike tehes.

Aprillikuu jooksul kogusime läbi fotokonkursi jäädvustusi üllatuslikest momentidest linnaruumis. Konkurss "Varjatud" kutsus otsima linnas midagi salapärast, varjatut või midagi sellist, mida me iga päev mööda kõndides ei märka. Selleaastase fotokonkursi esikoha saavutas Erik Vink fotoga "ÜLe jõe", mis žürii hinnangul paistis silma meisterliku kompositsiooniga ning millele oli tabatud huvitav hetk. Tegusa sünnipäevakuu võttis kokku 3. mail toimunud sünnipäevapidu. Kokku tulid vanad ja uued EMÜSlased, õppejõud, maastikuarhitektuuri tudengid ning sõbrad teistest EMÜ seltsidest. 23. sünnipäev sain väärikalt tähistatud ning läheme uue hooga uude aastasse!
