There are several possibilities for how to get to Tartu.
Keep in mind that we meet in Tartu (Estonia) on the 6th of August and say goodbye in Helsinki (Finland) on the 17th of August.

1. Alternative
The easiest way is to travel by plane straight to Tallinn’s airport. It may be more expensive than other alternatives but it depends on when you buy it. From there we recommend taking a bus to Tartu. The airport is 2,2 km away from the bus station. You can buy a bus ticket from Tallinn to Tartu here: https://www.tpilet.ee/en/
It will be about 2,5 h bus ride for 8 to 12€. Or by train, but it’s farther away (about 5 km). Tickets here: https://elron.ee/en/ Trainride will be 2h and for up to 10€.
2. Alternative
You can also take a plane to Riga’s (Latvia) airport. From the airport, you can take a 4 to 5-hour bus ride to Tartu. You can buy a bus ticket from here: https://www.tpilet.ee/en/. It will cost about 20€.
3. Alternative
It’s also possible to go to Helsinki by plane. From the airport, you need to go to the ferry port and then take a ferry to Estonia. It’s usually about 20-30€. You can find the ticket here: link. From there you can take a train or bus to Tartu. You can buy a bus ticket from here: https://www.tpilet.ee/en/. It will be about 2,5 h bus ride for up to 12€. And train ticket from here: https://elron.ee/en/. Trainride will be 2h and up to 10€.
